and i'm counting the days

pandora's suitcase
while some friends and high school classmates played a few rounds of poker during the fiesta, i was too busy taking shots with the karen-and-twinkle duo, worried that at any moment, the battery might die.

two days after, i reached home from somewhere-i-have-been-to, and saw my aunt, my grandma, my mom and uncles playing the same thing. 'twas their first time to do so with the rest of the family members since my internet-savvy uncles and aunt (i'm excluding my workaholic mom who has not much time for the internet) were used to playing virtual poker, offline and online. they started playing from around 10:00 in the morning till 9 or 10:00 in the evening. can you imagine that? they almost forgot about lunch and supper! (lol!)

i've joined them and bet a few chips, won and lost at the same time. the excitement was extraordinary! especially because something has been given up in exchange for those colorful chips. losing wasn't an option. it was such a pain to see your chips being swallowed up by your opponents. but hey, it was just for fun anyway. pero dibdiban (haha)

of luck and happiness
and they were planning to include this on the to-do list on christmas day. bingo will still push through, i hope. luck, be with me this christmas! (haha) but more than that, my real wish is for my family to be united in spite of obvious differences, to be completely safe and happy at all times, and to continue praising God for all that he has given us as one big ohana. those material wishes can be great. but nothing can compare to real-ationships with friends and more importantly with the family. ako na ang bagon. (haha)
